All the weight lifting, all the workouts, all the practices, all the road trips, all the drills, all the sweat, all the pain, all the camps, all the games, all the wins, all the losses. Every team does it for one reason…the Playoffs!

And finally they are here, beginning with a triple header Friday on totalUTAHpreps.com and a matinee affair on Saturday.  At 2:00p.m. on Friday, the Davis Darts travel to Riverton to take on the Silverwolves. It is a game that the Darts can win after a grueling Region 1 campaign that will help them survive a game or two in the playoffs.  Also at 2:00, Bonneville has a roadie at Mountain View. Both teams are 4-5 and this should be a be a doozie.

Northridge has the toughest first round match up of the playoffs, driving to powerhouse Bingham. Following an 0-2 start, the Miners have flexed their muscles that have made them one of the top teams in 5A for the past 10 years. The Knights have a chance as they have shown throughout the season, playing even for three quarters to nationally ranked Crespi (CA) and defeating a tough Jordan team earlier this year. That game begins at 3:30.

Finally after the Halloween candy has been somewhat digested, Hurricane will attempt to make (fill in the blank team) sick to their stomach in a 1:00 p.m. showdown on Saturday.  The Tigers will play the winner of Grantsville-Ben Lomond game that will then play Bear River in a three way showdown to have the difficult task of facing the Tigers on Hurricane’s home field.
